Bonnie and Clyde – my first project with De Rerum Natura Alice

Posted by Anne-Marie de Haan on

When I started Twist & Tangle, there was one thing I knew for sure: De Rerum Natura had to be part of the shop. I was already familiar with Ulysse and Gilliatt – and a big fan of both – but I had never knitted with Alice before.

I like to know how the yarns I stock actually knit up and how the finished fabric feels, so I started looking for a project for Alice.

Eventually, I came across Bonnie & Clyde by Isabell Kraemer. Two small scarves knitted in two colours, with the colours reversed for the second scarf. I love little scarves like these: they’re easy to wear and a great way to add a bit of colour to an outfit.

And Alice didn’t disappoint. It’s soft and supple, while the linen gives it a beautiful, slightly irregular texture. The fabric feels light and develops more and more character as you knit.

Knit your own Bonnie & Clyde

For Bonnie & Clyde, you’ll need two colours of yarn. The two scarves together use approximately 150 metres of each colour. Two balls of De Rerum Natura Alice – one in each colour – are enough to knit the complete project.
